Hi
Up until now I have been using Tmpgne, DVDx and Virtual Dub for all my converting etc.
I have managed to get a copy of Adobe Premiere 6.0. When I have a converted a file to a "burnable" MPEG2 (SVCD) I wanted to edit it using Premiere however when I try to load the MPEG2 I get a message saying: "Unable to open that file" and "File is unsupported type"!!!
Am I missing something here or do I have to load something special to edit MPEG2s with Premiere????
Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if it helps, but I guess You have to have a MPEG2 codec installed for Premiere to open MPEG2 files. If You can play MPEG2 files in i.e. Windows Media Player, then You have the codec in place.
There is a "Elecard" mpeg2 codec that watermarks the movies until payed for

Mpeg2 is not supported by premiere. You need to edit your movies as avi or quicktime. However it is delivered with a lite version of Media Cleaner so you can export to mpeg2 directly from the timeline, but I dont know how good the codec is. Read more about this in your manual....
I think I've heard that MainActor supports mpeg2 but I'm not sure.
