I have TDKs made BY ritek and they are friggin awesome. I have burned maybe 250 and all are 100% successful, none have corrupted yet.

I bought what could argueably be called my last batch of 100 Memorex at a Boxing day sale for $40CAD. I don't use CD-Rs much anymore, except for the odd TV show burned to disc in SVCD from newgroups. I was using them for data storage but now with 2 DVD burners I do mostly DVDs anyway. Music seems to be going to solid state playback devices, so that means another big change is underway as CD-Rs give way to those devices (although it may be awhile before I have one in my car). Most of the CD-R manufacturers are switching production from CD-Rs to DVDs as well. There is a much greater potential for sales as standalone DVD recorders and DVD burners get more and more into the mass market. I don't forsee CD-Rs going away quick but the market will definitely shrink in the coming years...
Happy New Year to you all...
