I have the same burner and I can play any dvd that I made with dvdxcopy, although I went to DVDSHRINK and then burn with NERO 6 now. I really would dump dvdxcopy, but thats just my oppinion. Whats even funny....no matter what I have had with burn problems, they would ALL play in my ps2 even if they wouldnt on my standalone.
If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0

Many PS2's are picky about media. Essentially Sony put the world's shittiest lasers in those drives.

PS2's, while they will play some DVD's, are NOT the ideal platform for testing your burning prowess. Mine will play movie only DVD+R's, but won't play full disc backups, nor will it play any DVD+RW.

Since they are designed to be a gaming machine, it is inadvisable to expect standalone-type performance or compatability from them.
