  1. There seems to be (or least I am) confused as to the development status of DVDShrink.

There seems to be some mixed messages coming from the official DVDShrink forum, with the administrator adamant that DVDShrink will remain in development, but many users stating that it probably won't be because Mr. Shrink is now employed by Nero for their Recode product.

I am leaning more with the members who think that Mr. Shrink has abandoned/been forced to leave DVDShrink well alone, their seems to be an obvious conflict of interest there, and it has been a great deal of time since the last release, I do understand he might be a very busy person.

Does anybody have any ideas as to what is going on?

    See Recode,Nero.

I think I read somewhere that the developer now works for Ahead.

    Greetings,

Anyone of you noticed that the new version of Nero looks a lot to have the same functionalities of DVD Shrink now:
    - Analyzing look alike when you open a dvd
    - Not anymore a disable function that removed all but the space of the image but like the still image of DVD Shrink (At least someone found out a way that I did not find to have just the space image like the previous beta version).

I read that a new version of DVD Shrink was "like" planned to be out by November, but it has been postponed. I think personnally that it would be a conflict of interests if the developper works (and get paid) by Nero and develops a free product that does the same thing on the side. As a businessman, I would not expose my company to such a thing and I would have had negotiated with the developper to "freeze" its rights to develop a free product.

    Thank you
