    I just installed a LG-4020B in one of my systems (PIII 500/128/13GB/Win98SE) and it burns everything except DVD-R without any problems.

    I tried using the B's recorder software and Nero 6 to burn a DVD-R but the drive remains idle when I start burning. It doesn't have any activity and the LED doesn't go on. Once I try to burn it just sits there. Anyone have a solution to this?

    might want to check to see if there is updated firmware for your drive.
