Hey all, thanks in advance to anyone who can help me with these problems. My first problem is that when I create a DVD-R from my original retail DVD, the bars that are above and below the video (all my movies are widescreen) are slightly grayish. For example, halfway between the top of the video and the top of the tv screen there is a line (not really a line, just a point) where there is pure black (top half) and not so black (bottom half). The same goes for the bottom of the widescreen. Basically the video is surrounded by not-so-black bars, while there is pure black on the very top and very bottom. I know its hard to explain this, but I hope everyone knows what I'm talking about. I have been using the latest Nero Recode 2. Only some DVD's do this. I have tried the DVD in 3 different DVD players, and all do the same thing. My second problem is that I bought Die Another Day with DTS audio and I wanted to back it up. Well, I used CloneDVD and Recode and got the same problem. The audio is just SLIGHTLY out of sync with the video. It's not seconds, but it IS enough to definitely notice and its VERY annoying. This seems to happen with all DTS audios and I have had it happen with some Dolby Digital tracks. Anyone know what could be causing these problems?
Specs : 2.53 ghz, 512 ddr ram, I/O Magic DVD 4x burner.
Also, when I put the DVD on my hard drive, the audio is perfectly in sync. After I compress it, thats when the slight out of sync shows up, so I don't believe it's the burner or media.
