I don't understand what you ppl are not getting.

I will try to explain. 50 cent is rapper. He is a part of a crew called G UNIT. 50 Cent and his crew are suppose to be gansta. They say they carry guns and all of that. Where ever 50 cent and his crew go they scream G UNIT. Since they just came out with an album "Beg For Mercy" everybody now talk about G UNIT.

What did 50 Cent's grandmother say when he gave her a cloth ?
She said G UNIT. ( G U NIT sounds like G YOU KNIT.)

Apperantly doesn't sound as funny when you do't hear it.

I don't agree with you all who say today's music sucks. It doesn't suck more then the music from before. What you think is good, now sounds like garbage to me.

My thoughts on "why music now sucks" is because the genres are so old.

Most of the current bands are late in the genre, and are merely rehashing the same music or style as those before them. And in most cases, they are a pale shadow of the earlier groups.

Groups like Disturbed are just a wanna-be Pantera.
Groups like Blink 182 are just a wanna-be Green Day.
Singers like Britnet Spears are just a wanna-be Madonna.

Then you get groups like Creed where every song sounds the same. MANY, MANY groups suffer from this one-sound problem. I miss groups like Metallica, NIN, REM, etc etc ... because they always had a different sound from song to song, and album to album.

Or as Chris Rock once said "Good Charlotte ? More like a mediocre Green Day !"

  25. I get the joke, its just lame.

As for music, as long as it sounds good (so no R'n'B/Hip Hop/Justin Timberlake) then I listen to it, whether it be old or new.

I find that the lyrics in modern songs are crap. I like the oldies such as "itsi bitsi teeny weeny yellow polka-dot bikini"
"Whenever I need to "get away,'' I just get away in my mind. I go to my imaginary spot, where the beach is perfect and the water is perfect and the weather is perfect. The only bad thing there are the flies. They're terrible!" Jack Handey

I wish the music of the early 90s would come back to the radio. Smashing Pumpkins, Toadies, Early Tool (Not their new crap), Local H, Ash, Matthew Sweet, Spacehog, Beck should all be played more on the radio. Instead they play crap like 3 doors down and nickleback. Bands with no talent and no originality.
