  1. Hi there,

I didn't know where to post this question, but... here it is.

    I have a Pionner A05 burner + Nero 6 + WinXP Pro

Sometime i burn dvd well, without problem. And sometime (at random) my burner load the buffer well, then write 1% of the stuff on the dvd-r, and then.... the counter of the elapsed time continue, but it stay at 1% witout any remaining time.

The light of the Pionner is OFF. I cannot cancel it with NERO. even a END TASK! If i try to reboot, it is not working either.

I have to PRESS the reset button on my computer to make it work.

After the reset, my burner is fine, and i can burn again, but my DVDR media is not good anymore, and i have to throw it in the garbage.

I have the same problem as this guys: https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=109625&start=0 i think.

    Any idea ? please ?

    thanks!
    Tangu.

I've had the same problem with Nero (5.5.10). My solution was to use a different burn program (Instant Copy, Record Now, etc).

Nero 6 isn't a differnt program- just a newer version of Nero.

  6. I bet it's an InCD problem, or whatever Ahead call their CD packet writing plugin these days.

If it's not that, it's something else polling your drives - that's my bet, anyway. I had occasional problems with Nero when I had InCD installed, but taking it off worked wonders.

You need to work out why the PC is hanging, and you could find it's any application you have running at the same time that you burn. I use XP Pro, have an 05 and use the latest version of 5 (why go to 6 when 5 works perfectly for me ?), and have no problems.

Try terminating any "unused" processes before you burn to try and work out which one is giving you the problems. I bet it's not Nero !

  8. i have another problem now.

I burn one dvd-rw, and then, *pooof*

Cannot burn anything else with it, have to SHUT DOWN the computer to let it recognize by WinXP unless a simple reboot do not do the job.

Why is that ??? what is happening !?!?!?!??!?!
