OK, I was thinking about purchasing MC's 1.4 Encoder. Anyway, I decided to try the demo out while I was doing some authoring of a personal/home video dvd. Anyway, I ran into some problems with it. I have never had this problem with any other encoder that I have tried. Anyway, any video that I tried to encode with it resulted in at least one spot within the movie that resulted in either a few green/pink blocks scattered across the screen for one or two seconds or the video froze for a couple of seconds, dependent upon the player that was used. If the dvd was viewed on the computer via WinDVD, everthing seemed fine. This was not media based because I tried two DVD-R's and one RW and the AVI sources were checked with vdub-mp3 and no bad frames were found. Is this a bad encode or could the authoring program be causing this problem? I am at a loss. No other encoder has done this on me. Anyone have suggestions.
