    I wonder what would happen if you tried to apply this firmware to other DD0401 based drives? 8) I've got one, but I'm not willing to attempt it I'll just wait for Optorite to release a similar firmware.

    Yeah the Sony 530 is an Optorite rebadge, but who knows what they've done to the firmware.

    Offtopic: I thought both the Optorite and the Sony were based on a Sanyo?

    But thats besides the point, HURRAY for the firmware, I'll be updating when I come home tonight!
