LDW411S for $70 (poss $40) or NEC 1300A $100?

circuitcity has the LDW for $70 for sure and maybe $40 if a 2d rebate is honored). I have the 1300A but this is for a friend. I don't know much about that drive. Both have bitsetting changability a frequent firmware changes. The drive will be going back to Belgium in Jan she they return home, so the media will be from there, for compatability issues. I know there'sa lot of thread on the 411S, but not a head to head decision on these 2. Will they burn a lot of coasters on that drive. I told them to steer clear of BTC and optowrite. Is ths a good drive? I have a liteon CD burner and am pleased with it.

I have a week and burned 4 DVD with no problems.......I burn it with nero 6.3
One observation.. i use it only "good" brands of discs, i try it with generic and doesnt read it....so try "good" brand ... I use it pengo and melody , one princo, and no problem...
