    has anyone noticed that smartripper runs slower on 2000 pro than me

    no I get same speed, if not better, make sure your DMA is enabled.

    i just forced aspi and checked my hard drive,dma is on.I'm still getting 1-2 speed.

    DMA is enabled on the HD, but is it enabled on for the DVD-ROM Drive.

    you chill the f*ck out, at least give more than an hour between your stupid posts for someone to answer you, and there is not need to type all caps, effectively yelling...

    I thought long about even helping you...but here,

    Device Manager->IDE Controllers->(pick whichever channel you want or both)->Properties->Advanced Settings

    that simple!

    thanks kid,i kept trying to find it under my dvd rom settings.now i'm having a problem with tmpge shutting down after like 25 min of encoding.one more question,should my hard drives be basic or dynamic?
