I can't comment on the 3130, but I had their DVR-5000 for awhile. What a piece of trash. The remote was a total nightmare to use, as the buttons just did not want to "engage" upon first push, and then it decided to just stop playing DVD altogether, even though all others, svcd, vcd, mp3 and cd played fine. I took it apart to clean the lense, and it looked like something that should be sold under the Barbie name. I could not believe I'd paid $380 for this crap. I chucked it in the garbage, got a Sony SLV-D300P, and have been extremely, "DVD/VHS" happy since.
Personally, I say "No to Go".
