  1. Hey, I downloaded FlaskMPEG v0.6, but, under "Output Format," it does not have Panasonic MPEG listed. Will the output file ripped with bbMPEG be able to fit on two cds and maintain reasonable video quality? And, if not, how can I get a Panasonic add-on/plug-in, or where can I download a version of Flask that supports Panasonic MPEG?

  2. Yes you can get good output with the bbMpeg plug-in on 2 cd's (Dont forget under General Settings to put your cd file size in the Max file box (in Mb) then enable reset clocks and broken link flags) this will split the input file into what ever you input upto 7 times . No the flask program dont come with the panasonic plug in but a trial version (link) can be found on the flask web page (I'm looking for the address). When you have it put it in the same folder as flask and rename the file to end with cm.flask. As regards good quality settings vcd or svcd ? Have fun.....

I was first using bbMPEG output but didnt like it cuz I couldn't change the bitrate to what I wanted to make an XVCD. I remember I had the Panasonic MPEG encoder 2.1 from way back when I first tried messing around with all this stuff when DeCSS was big...but never got anywhere. I know use my Panasonic encoder cuz I CAN change the bitrates for better quality. I think to buy the full version its like $80.00 Some people sasy bbMPEG is better, some say Panasonic..i guess its just preference.
