i got a vcd that's a concert or something that i wanna rip the audio off of, is this possible?
or do i have to play the whole movie and use the line out on the back of my audio card?

First rip the *.dat file in the MPEGAV directory of your disk with VCDgear to an mpeg format. You can then split the mpeg file into mp2 audio format with TMPG.

Use VCDgear to convert the .dat to .mpg.
TMPGEnc, select file-> MPEG tools->simple(basic)demultiplex, you'll get a mp2 audio file.
2nd(acually the 1st) way, open the .mpg in TMPG, select file->output to file-> WAVE file
