  1. I own a Phillips DVDR+ Standalone recorder for my TV, and a DVDR+/- drive for my PC

I have recorded some episodes of a TV show (4 in total) onto a DVDR+ disc with my stand alone recorder, now you get the awful phillips menu when you've recorded them now what I want to do is using the right software is remake that dvd on my PC but change the menus and create my own new cool ones... this seems simple enough but when I insteard the phillips recorder dvdr+ disc you get 2 folders VIDEO_RM and VIDEO_TS (unlike other dvds where you get AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS)
i got TMPGEnc DVD Author but when it rips the files they come out slow and the sound like a tortoise and blurred image aswell ... also it seems to find 2 copies of all the episodes on the disc aswell

now please will someone help me on this one..... PLEASE
DVD region settings are a joke, I can't believe how stupid people are falling for it

I would suggest a forum search, using the exact model number of your recorder as your search criteria (ie. Phillips E-50 or whatever).

I don't have one myself, but I've seen tons of threads regarding ripping from set-top recorders and reauthoring the discs.
