I have an .mpg file (SVCD) that is acting weird. It plays in media player but it does not display the length of it, like any other media file would, and also if I try to use the scroll bar to jump to any position in the video, windows media player will crash. If it makes any difference, this problem only started after I uninstalled Sound Forge 7.0, which also removed the Main Concept mpeg-2 splitter (which it installed without my permission I might add). I have other mpeg-2 files that still play fine, but for whatever reason this particular video doesn't play right anymore. Is there a way to repair this file?
