Hi
I bought the Pinnacle PCTV recently and tried to capture analog video from my Sony Video8 camcorder to my PC.It captured fine at 352x288 resolution (VCD quality)but couldn't be made to capture @ higher resolutions in applications other than Pinnacle's.So reading a suggestion in DVDRHelp's Capture card reviews, i installed Connexant's BttPCI driver, as PCTV Plus uses a Connexant chip. Now capturing was fine at VCD resolution but when i catured at higher resolutions like 480x576 and 704576, a horizontal noise showed up in the catured video like the noise which appears when VCR heads are dirty. But i checked and double-checked the source and it was fine.I also noticed that if only the vertical resolution was increased from 288 to 576, keeping the horizontal resolution the same(352)the problem did not appear.Furthermore, the amount of noise increased with the increase of horizontal resolution. Why is this happening? How do i rectify this?
