I have just added a new Hard Drive to my system a Westen Digital maxdor 120 gig with 8 meg cache. This has been added as a slave to a cd writer on the secondary ide channel with primary use as storage space. My other drives are segate's both with 2 meg cache a 120 (slave Storage) and a 80 gig (main).
I am amazed at the diffrence in time programs like svcd2dvd are taking to process files.

So what a diffrence having a faster drive makes...
9 mins for a 8 meg cache against 54 mins for a 2 meg cache
