I just got my hands of some 4x media and all my dvds seem to work perfectly fine on my Pioneer 106 drive.
Apparently people advise to use 2x. Just wondering if its a must or not since my discs work fine thus far.
Thanks![]()

I have really cheap Mustek stand-alone DVD player and it plays really well DVD-Rs recorded at 4x, though I have got a cheap DVD recorder - Liteon LDW-811s.

Yea my TDK discs were only 2x. Now I have some Ritek G04 discs and they seem to be doing 4x fine.
It's just a friend told me I should only use x2 -
You only use 2x with cheap media. That's because really cheap 4x media is usually 2x media that's lying to you :P
