I'm new at this at want to insert a still image (from Photoshop) into my video. I'm using a DV camcorder and will be outputting my movie in a DVD format. Is 768 x 576 the right size?
And what size would be applicable for an MPEG movie? Thank you!

As long as your aspect ratio is standard then the editing/Authoring software will fit/size it. Of coarse low resolution photos will look worse but very high resolution photos won't look any better then video format resolution.
