  1. Converted an AVI file and burned to DVD. The AVI file had mp3 audio which I extracted to wav and converted first to m2v and then ac3 using BeSweet. The audio of the resulting DVDs didn't work with either type audio track on my Pioneer DV-363 player. Is this a limitation of my player (suspected), or did I screw up something?

  2. Besweet Ac3 is not quite 100% compliant. Some Pioneer (amongst others) players are know to have difficulties with it. Try using wav or mp2 audio.

  3. Thanks. Got it to work using wav converted to m2p. On first try, I didn't have the DVD player and Sony receiver setup properly. My bad. The AC3 file would make my receiver digital signal indicator wildly flicker but would not play the sound. Gave up on that format.

  4. you may want to try a different ac3 encoder, such as sonic foundry soft encode 5.1.. when converting audio to ac3 it always work like a champ for me.
