Hi, I am trying to create a DVD with two audio languages. I already have the video and first audio stream on my computer. The second audio stream, I must extract from a VCD. Since this is a separate video release, the VCD version adds a little advertisement in the beginning which adds extra time to the movie. The video stream on my computer has no ads. I want it to sync up to the video stream on my computer. How do I go about doing that?
(Edit: I found out that on the VCD, the movie is composed of 2 DAT files. The movie was split in the middle. Is there a way to get it as 1 DAT file?)
I extracted the MPG from the VCD and then extracted the WAV. Is there a free tool that I can use to cut the advertisements away so that the sound matches the video stream? I have Audacity, would that work well?
Also, is it possible to touch up the audio too? At times, the voices have its low pitch (can barely hear it) and it has its high pitch too (person screaming at the top of their lungs and incredibly loud). The background sound is loud. And the sound effects are also loud. Would normalizing work in this case?

Hi Sakuya,
Over 500 posts and you don't appear to have looked undo "Audio Editors" in the "Tools" section.... Shame on you!
If you've got Audacity, why don't you try it? That was gonna my suggested tool until I read you already had it...
As for the other questions - not needed to do that before so can't comment. There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

I don't usually do this type of multiple audio streams DVD nor do I work with audio all the time so I don't go to that section of the Tools page.

My second audio stream is taken from my VCD source. But it's a dual channel audio (with the same language). So when I play it in stereo, it's like it has an echo to it and is very loud. It's not noticeable when I play it on the computer. How do I make it solid stereo? I used GoldWave mix the channels and then used Match to match it to my first audio stream. I'm not sure how it all works but they both seem to be around -13 and -14 so I lowered the volume to -14 and now it's so soft. Help?
