1. I have a DVD movie with hard-embedded subs in it, and they look too tiny on the screen. I found the DivX copy of that movie and want to rip those subs from dvd to use on the DivX file. I tried the Subrip and of course it couldn't detect any subtitle strings. Does anybody know how to rip the hard subs?

2. I tried to rip a DVD using DVD Shrink 3.0. DVD9 to DVD-R with compression. The dvd didn't have any subtitles, but it had captions. However, in the copy the captions were not present. Are there some special settings to save the captions? Is there a way to rip them/convert to subtitles?
