I capture from vcr with aver tv studio using ulead video studio7. I capture in dvd format and then convert to svcd. The svcd's play fine on my pc but on tv (stand alone dvd player) I get shaky video (mostly when there is a lot of movement). I tried changing the field order and lowering the bitrate but nothing changed. Btw although the svcd's are pal the shaky image disappears when I choose ntsc on my dvd player. What am I doing wrong?

I burned the svcd with nero and everything is fine. I guess my dvd player doesn't like ulead vs7 or ulead vs7 has trouble dealing with field B.

It sounds like your player does a poor conversion of PAL/NTSC. Some players can't convert at all, and rely on a dual mode TV.
