  1. Hi!
I wrote two days ago, but need more help!!!
Iīm trying to rip and convert a DVD to SVCD using DVD2SVCD and CCE 2.5. Everything works fine (rip) until the conversion - when CCE starts to convert the AVS-file it makes it into . mpv - WHY?!? I wanīt two .mpg-files, so I just can burn it down on a CD-R! I canīt figure out what I doing wrong?!
Heres my selected options in DVD2SVCD:
*interlacing(I donīt even know what that is...) is put to Telecide,
    *no audio downsampling,
    *use frame selection is on,
    *Biocubic Resize,
    *use Entrysvd is activated,
    *Multipass VBR
*Bitrate-Min. average is set to 1600 (checked)

I would be so grateful if someone could tell what to do! Iīm new to this, but Iīve red A LOT of guides and canīt find the answer anywhere...

    Best regards

  2. Did you do what I posted in this thread

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=192497&highlight=

You need to make sure you have system stream selected (in CCE), not elementary stream.

There was really no need to create a new thread for this, you could have continued in the previous one.

  3. sorry... Didnīt know I could take up the old thread...

Yes, I did as you showed me the last time, but without any luck. The CCE still starts to make a .mpv-file! Has it anything to to with DVD2SVCD- the Telecide, frame selection, Min. avarage bitrate and so on?!

No, nothing to do with those settings, if you select program stream or system stream (depends on software versions what it is called) rather than elementary stream it should output an mpg file.

lillara: DVD2SVCD is about the simplist program there is for what it is doing. USE THE DEFAULTS. The only thing you need to check is for internal ripping and the size of the CD you are using. It will generate a BIN/CUE file. You go to burn images in NERO, select the CUE file and you are done. Unless you are really into making things difficult, use the defaults, you don't have to change a thing except the 2 above mentioned. I have used it for 100's of SVCD's without changing anything.

  6. I don't pretend to know anything as I am new at this too and I have never used the programs you are using, but you mentioned you selected no audio downsampling. Could that be the problem? I mean, DVD's require 48khz and SVCDs 44.1, right? Could it be that because you are not trying convert the audio that it is not outputting it at all? Just a guess. I really have no idea if it is anywhere close to the mark.
