  1. Hi,

I'm using the latest trial version of the above program and have successfully created a couple of DVD.

The problem I am having is when using the software to create DVD from mutiple VCD's. I have used ISObuster to extract the files from the VCD (as per guides to give mpgs) and brought them into Tmpgenc DA, created menus etc.

When I get the program to create the output files it seems to get about half way through and crash (I think). This sems to occur at about the 700Mb to 1.2Gb file size. I just come back to the PC to the windows XP screensaver (I'm running XP Pro)as if the PC has rebooted waiting for me to log on.

When I do log on after this the PC tells me (about 50% of the time) that it has recovered from a serious error. The remainder of the times it just logs on. There are some files created but when I try to burn these with either the writing tool in TMPGenc DA or Nero it comes up and says the files created ae not valid.

I am running a laptop with external firewire hard disk and burner. I have tried doing from the internal disk (with slightly more success) and have disabled the screen saver, virus software and have no other software running but the problem still persists.

I thought it may be the priority thing that people have spoken about for TMPGenc (as opposed to DA) but cannot fiand anything to cahnge here.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Scott

Ummm. hmmm.... something on the OS or filesystem sounds rogue. Not TDA I would guess, the system has issues. But what, I don't know. Could be a lot of things.

This is one of those errors I'd have to see in person to figure out.
