I used svcd2dvdmpg to convert a number of movies to ES streams. I then used tmpgenc to author dvd folders, and patched the entire file back to 480 (also tried with dvdlab). My problem is PAL svcd's (480x576) play as black and white/rolling picture once converted and burned to dvd (converted ntsc svcd's play fine) on my dvd player. However my dvd player (panasonic s35) has a built in pal/ntsc converter, and will play the same movie uncoverted off of a cdr/w. I was thinking something like my dvd player cant convert PAL dvd but can convert PAL svcd on cds, maybe authoring problem? Any help would be appreciated.
