  1. I have bought Pirates of the Caribbean 2 disc special edition, and am making a back up, I have used DVDShrink (folowing the doom dvd92dvd5 guides) to do both discs which work fine. The only things I removed were the none english languages and sub titles, When I burnt the discs using Nero 6 Ultra only the first disc (Movie and trailers only) worked, the second disc only got a 1/4 the way through in Nero before it was rejected.
Is this because the 2nd disc has a dvd-rom feature on it, and if so can it be burnt to disc with the other dvd scenes.
If not how do i remove the dvd-rom stuff, I have search everywhere for some info on this but I cant find anything on google or here.

Thanks in advance for ur help

Sounds like you are using some bad media. What is your media brand.

  3. Just ripping the second disc to your hard drive should remove the DVD-ROM content - most rippers only look in the VIDEO_TS folder and don't pay any attention to the "hybrid" stuff.

  4. I just backed up my copy of Pirates the other day and both disks copied ok doing exactly what you did. So it is not the DVD rom stuff on it.

  5. I use Bulkpaq DVD-R Orange top 4.7Gb, which i got from Ebuyer.com. I have backed up 3 of my DVD's so far and all have worked fine except for the extras disc of PotC.

I will try again tonight and see if it was just a bad disc and i'll post how i get on.

    Thanks
