Use isobuster to see if you can access any files or try and see if dvdshrink can find the files.

  3. You have a DVD drive right? Your standard CD drive won't read a DVD.
( I should have looked at your profile before posting. I see you list a pioneer)

I went looking and found that your recorder does dvd-video and dvd-vr. Make sure you are making a dvd-video which is the standard for PC dvd recorders I don't think most Computers will handle dvd-vr without special programs. if you can see the files in your recorder what is the directory formats?

Also you might check that your dvd-rom will read dvd-rw discs to begin with.

Just as a guess tho I would think that you are getting dvd-vr output.

  6. Yes on my computer i have a pioneer dvd rom drive and also a panasonic multi dvd-r /ram burner.Perhaps it would make a difference if i tried to access the files from the panasonic multidrive dvd burner.I will try again and format the disk in video mode not VR mode then see if i can read it in windows

  7. Staring to get desperate now.Just formatted in video mode and put same family film onto dvd-rw and still cannot see anything on it.DVD2One,dvd decrypter and Tmpgeg DVD all say the disc is empty! But i can still play it on the jvc recorder!Surely there must be an easier way to edit these files.
