  1. this is my first post, so i hope you guys can help me out.

so the .avi files that i have come out to be in the range of 550mb - 700mb. when i convert them using TMPGEnc they end up to be over a gig of vcd mpg, so i have to split them up and then burn them in 2 separate cds.

my question is, is it possible to do this in a different way so that i can burn them in 1 cd?

thanks for the help in advance

  2. Well, your avis sound like they're in divx format, which is mpg4 I think. You're making them mpg1, so naturally, they're bigger. Bite the bullet and use the second disc. It's unavoidable, I'm afraid.

  3. You can get a full movie on one cd using the VCD format but the video will look like hell. Stick to divx if you want entire movies on one cd.
