Hello,
My name is Harvey and I am new to the world of dvdr and backing up my dvd collection.
I am glad to have found this place and must say this place is really amazing and I am glad to become a part of it.
MY question is this.... I am looking for software that will allow me to burn backups with out compressing ANY video at all. Seems like all the software I have read about compresses or (degrades) the video to fit it on 1 disc.. I have a 65 inch widescreen tv so the slightest degrading of the video will bother me on that tv. I would liek to have a perfect copy.
IF I have to split a dvd9 onto 2 dvd5s then so be it, but my main concern is not losing ANY video quality at all. What would be ideal is software that would allow me to take just the movie itself and the dolby 5.1 audio stream and burn that only and perhaps that would fit on one dvdr disc??
IF not then 2 discs will have to due. I have read about alot of software but none that will not compress the video at all.
Couldyou guys point me in the right direction?? Lastly, do you reccommend using 2 different softwares: one to rip to the hard drive and another to burn??? Or is there on that will do both steps together. And how will I know where to split the dvd if I need to fit it onto 2 dvdrs?
Again thanks in advance your help is greatly appreciated
Harvey
