  1. I wanted to know if there was a good site devoted to photo restoration and Adobe Photoshop?

I have real problems when it comes to picture DPI and resolution and printer and scanner resolutions.

If any one has a quick guide on the subject please tell me.

    Thanks in advance.

I'm not an expert, but I always achieve excellent results. Here are my tips for you:

Most printers can't handle more than 200 dpi. You should save your final image @ 200 dpi with the size that you want to print (eg. 8" x 10").

    If you're scanning a 4" x 6" and want to make the end result a 4" x 6", then scan @ 200 dpi. If you want the end result to be an 8" x 10", then scan @ 400 - 600 dpi.

Never save your final edited image in jpg format. It is a lossy format and you'll loose quality everytime you save. Allways save as either psd, tif, bmp or png.

    Hope that helps.
Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........
