Anyone here know of one that *really* works?

I bought one of those motorized ones by memorex with the "repair" paste, and it did a great job cleaning them, but no progress on the skips.

I am leery of the ones which grind the swirl pattern, am I being too cautous?

    Car wax?

Check the other post with the superfine wet'n'dry emery paper, and polishing compound and lamb's wool bonnet..

It removes some of the surface, also. How much, and how even, and can you hold onto it is another question.
