    I have a few hundred VHS tapes (homes movies and Movie Tapes) that I want to convert to DVD discs. I have seen comments on the Internet that these machines are trash(??).

    #! Are any of them any good at all and if so which models?
    #2 I live in Malaysia which is PAL.We have a Multi-System TV. Are these machines Muli System or do I need to buy a PAL Combo Machine?

    Be aware that VHS/DVD combos will detect the macrovision signal on commercial VHS tapes and refuse to copy them. And sometimes they will falsely think your home recording are macrovision protected too.
