How do i convert a uncompressed video to uh... idk whats the smallest file type that i wont lose quality? Thanks

You can use virtualdub to output to DivX AVI, TMPGENC to output to MPEG or Windows Movie Maker (XP) to output to WMV. Any of these will not lose quality if you have the right settings.
If in doubt, Google it. -
Divx can be much smaller than a similar quality mpeg. Not sure about wmv.

i don't know about real media, but I have had great results with DivX going down to about 10% the original file size with no noticeable quality loss.
