i borrowed some backupdvds from a friend.when i making an image of them there is a lot of read errors, the strange thing is that its on different placec each time.so i wonder if it actually is an read error or if something else causes it??
my friend burned the dvd with a pioneer x05,and my dvd is a nec1300.
i tryed with an hacked firmware but the same result...
the media is memorex 4x,with printed label on...

What software are you using? Have you sucessfully burned any back-ups of your own?

Assuming the DVD contains material that isn't subject to copywrite, in which case you and your friend are both breaking the law and you shouldn't be discussing warez here, try ISO Buster.
That bypasses Window's error checking mechanism in some wierd but wonderful way and will continue to try and get around read errors long after Windows has given up. -
yes i burned 20 backups using clonedvd without problems.
with my friends backups i also tryed dvdxcopy xpress, dvddecryptor and i also checked the disc for read error with dvdinfo pro,but the same result. read errors but at a different place each try...
it dont work properly on my standalone player either, but works on my friends standalone player...
