  1. Ok, I get the menu and all, but I just got my dvd-r 2day, so real simple.
What effect does it have not to have the menu in playback?? I'm guessing that when you throw the DVD in the player it just starts the movie and the only thing you can do is use the forward and backwards buttons and thats about it??

Please fill me in on what the pros and cons are of not having the menu. I'm one of these people that don't care about the extra stuff on the movie.

Correct, without the menu when you pop it in it just starts. You still have the chapter divisions, so you can skip forward and backward stop and pause and seek. It's just like the regular movie except you don't have the menu.

  4. Also, if you kept the different languages, subtitles, commentaries, etc. You can still access those through your DVD players, remote/menu.
