  1. hi there,
I need to know how can i save my edited video on vegas in mpeg-2 format (for dvd burning). Coz when i try to save it ,it says that i have to register with mainconcept mpeg encoder.

so what i used to do was that first save my edited video in avi format and through TMPEG into mpeg-2 format but that takes too long.
and then i bought the mainconcept mpeg encoder 1.4 but it seems to be a standalone encoder,so tell me how can i make it compatabile with vegas video.
    thanks.

don't know the answer to your question. have you tried the sony forums/knowledge base ?

in the meantime, you could try the vegas frameserver
    http://www.debugmode.com/pluginpac/frameserver.php

so you can frameserve to TMPGEnc.

Still not ideal, but will cut down time saving as AVI in between Vegas and TMPGEnc

The instructions to register the mpeg2 encoder come up on screen when you get the warning you mentioned:

i.e. phone, PC or standalone PC.

Stick with TMPGEnc - much more options and well worth the wait.
