  1. Hello, I am planning to buy a Sony 60" HDTV Projection TV with DVI Input, I have the ATI-ALL-IN-WONDER 64mb DDR Video Capture Card and it has DVI output, I am debating if I should buy a Sony Trinitron 21" Pure Flat Screen Computer Monitor, or just wait till i buy an HDTV with a DVI connector and use that as my computer monitor, What would be the quality? would it be better than a computer Monitor? would it ruin my TV?
would the computer monitor give out better quality?
What do u all recommend i should do?

    Thank You

using a 60" hdtv as a pc monitor will look like crap for text and such as that --- should be allright for games

  4. If it is anything like s-video out then it will suck for reading text. But gaming and watching videos is fine.

DVI is much higher quality than s-video .. that is not the problem, its the large dotpitch in the hdtv tv plus convergence errors ...

  6. I just got a HDTV projection TV, the manual is still on my desk... It states that the DVI connector is not for a personal computer. It's DVI/HDCP, meant for protected digital programming (digital set-top box).

I thought the same thing when I saw the connector on the back
