    I am searching high and low for a good authoring package which contains templates for menus etc for me to create a nice wedding DVD.
    Any ideas ?

    Many if not most consumer lever authoring packages contain templates, some more than others. Do you particularly want a package with a wedding themed template, or just general templates that you can customise.

    adobe encore has a small amount or you could design your
    own in photoshop
