fast forward always goes back to first chapter

Hi. i used menu creation in NERO to make multi chapter SVCD movies. i downloaded scandata.dat and dragged it to the EXT directory. but whenever i try to fast forward while in any of the chapters, it always skips to the begining chapter.
I use an Apex 700 to play back the svcd

hey. try using the updated version of nero 5.5.5... something... anyways i had the same problem with my dvd apex player and i upgraded my nero version and it ff and rr well... however, the sound sync is not aligned... but that maybe only because of my model which is apex 500w... you may not have that problem... So, go to nero.com and update, for free, if you have previous versions, and don't forget to use the scandata.dat file in ext, and u should be able to ff and rr, but can't say for sure if you will have a audio sync problem...
