I just bought a Pioneer DVD-343, a started playing some SVCD's that I had burned on maxell 700 mb CDRs using Nero 5.0.0.9. The quality is awesome, however, every once in a while the picture breaks up and the sound becomes distorted or a second or two. It doesn't happen all the time, and only usually 2 or 3 times during the entire length of the SVCD. Is it the CDR's that I'm using or the Nero program?
Or is it something I have to live with? The SVCD mpg files play without any problems when I play them on my computer using WinDVD.

I have a Pioneer 333, and I am messing with the bitrate to see if it makes a difference. But it seems like the motion blur problem can be solved somewhat by lowering the bitrate a bit.. this site says the max bitrate is around 25kbps for my dvd player, and I use TMPGEnc, 2 pass variable bitrate. I set my max bitrate at 2300 to account for audio, however I still get block noise...
Can anyone help? I think my problem is the same as yours.
