Help Please? I've Been Racking my Brains on a Problem!!

Hi, I've been beating my brains, trying to solve a problem I just ran into today. It's concerning my DVD player (Panasonic LX-9) playing my backups. I've been backing up DVDs for about 2 years and I've been through at least 200+ DVDRs (Ritek of course! 8) ) Most worked out well and show no problems (On my standalones, portable, and PC players). However I recently got a hold of some Hong Kong DVDs that I got as a gift. I was able to copy the first 2 DVDs of the set with ease, but on the third one, that was where the trouble started. I usually use DVD Shrink to shrink the DVDs and then Use CopyToDVD to burn the DVDs. Otherwise if that doesn't work then I used CloneDVD. Anyway, after having a successful rip/compression/burn, I tried to play the DVDs with my portable DVD player (LX-9), but it doesn't work!! It just keeps reading and spinning very fast in the player. I thought it was a coaster, but it plays perfectly well in my PC! I've tried my 2 methods, but haven't come up with a solution (about 10 coasters, what can I say, Trial and Error ). Can anyone help me please? I'm desperate and this problem is irking the hell out of me! Weird... you remove the region coding?

Or... could they be PAL discs? I mean, they SHOULDN'T be, but...

yeah, weird... I never had to worry about region coding (I use AnyDVD when I use CloneDVD). It just won't play. I don't believe they're PAL, since I can play the originals in my DVD player that's still region locked. In case anyone is wondering, I'm using a Pioneer A06 Burner, great burner. Been with me through the good and bad times.

PAL/NTSC and Region codes are two different things. A PAL disk can be region 1 (or 2- or any other region). An NTSC disk can also be region 1, or 2, etc.

The fact that you can play the disk in a region locked player only indicates that the region is the same as the one you're locked to. It doesn't mean it's not a PAL disk.

Oops I think what I meant to say was that my player is NTSC so the DVDs shouldn't be PAL (No flickers or anything), and regarding the region coding problem, my player is region locked so that isn't the problem either. I guess I forgot to mention my player being NTSC.... Still can't figure out the problem. Any ideas anyone? New methods, programs, etc? Thanks!
