  1. After copying an original dvd movie to a dvd-r using dvdxcopy or dvdclone, when played might show audio skips and pixelation later in the movie.
At the same time other movies play fully with no problem whatsoever, and that is what has me confused about where to look.

I am using Xtreme media from allmediaoutlet, also I tried using G03 with the same result.

I tried burning the TS files and also in ISO mode, I do still have problems.

What I am looking for is an advice in how to minimize this issues and what to look for to identify a possible problem, really this issue points in a lot of directions, so please help.

My equipment is Pentium 2.4 ghZ pioneer 105 using windows 2000 as well as DVDClone and DVDXcopy.

    Thanx

    Your media is crap.

    Get good media.

Although you claim that the same thing happened with G03's, which is odd. I would also run through the usual culprits of PIO mode instead of DMA mode, etc.

  4. Yeah it seems to be a problem with some media. I ran across it on some Verbatim 4x DVD+R and Apple 4x DVD-R several months ago.

  5. Do you have hacked firmware and are burning the G-03's at more than 1X?

How does it play back on your burner? Does it skip only on your standalone DVD player....if so, what kind of player do you have.

I've had some issues with my older APEX player because it would start skipping after the player had been on for only a short time. I replaced the player with a JVC and all is well.

I also ran into some issues with Apple media too. Wasn't Apple media supposed to be the best?

I do not have a hacked firmware on my pioneer 105

    PLays fine in burner

Yes, skips on both of my Stand alone only, and I have 2 Cyberhome CH500

    Thank you

  7. Another thing to check besides media is if you use full disc sticky labels. I used to label all of my discs without problems. But recently I have had some of the types of problems you are talking about with some of the discs I made a year ago, genereally on cheaper media. One of the discs had problems on my panasonic dmr-hs2, an apex 5131, and a few other units. It played flawlessly in my pc's dvd pioneer 104 drive. I carefully took the label off and tried it in the pansonic and the apex and it played perfectly. Hope this helps.
