    If you live in the North America, it is really unnecessary to change the DVD player region code 1 but the Macrovision free is useful. Most of good DVD movies are already made for the region 1.

    Can anyone recommend a cheap hacked Macrovision DVD player with most disc playing formats sold in the US?

    I hate to recommend ebay but someone on ebay is selling the Daewoo 5700 for $75.00 macro and region free. With the demise of the ESS chipset macro free DVD's are becomeing very rare. Daewoo makes good players,I have a 5800.

    and others
    seems to be a great current (END OF NOV-beg of DEC 03)
    player..
    Owners have indicated in their reviews on this site that a service code frees the machine from REGIONS and MACROVISION when obtained and entered via remote

    I bought for a gift($30 after rebate) at Radio Shackrogressive scan,MP3(CD & DVD),JPEG,S/VCD.....hmmm....maybe should of bought one for me.

    Where did you see the owners have indicated in their reviews on this site that a service code frees the machine from MACROVISION when obtained and entered via remote? The Macrovision free is still a mystery to the CYBERHOME 300 series, isn’t it?

    I AM SORRY.. I just read what was written..It said on the DVDRHELP description that this was possible..so lets hope the moderators who created that post knew something we will know soon!
    ANY ONE FREE THIS MACHINE FROM MACROVISON..or do we have to start a new thread begging for input?
