Ok i'm looking for a tool which cuts a MPG file in several parts. all the time i use TMPGEnc, but this tool can only cut one part out of a file. I tested another tool called "Boilsoft AVI/MPEG/RM/WMV Joiner". This tool seemed to do what i need, u can say how many parts u wanna have then the tool cuts it. But the bad thin is that from the second file on you get this cubes in the movie after some seconds they disapear, i think it is because there is no "Keyframe" (i don't know if that is the right word for it) added to the file at the beginning of each new file. So my question is what tool can i use to cut a MPG file in one step in several parts without having this quality lost at the beginning of each file. thx for answer

Mpegs are a tough bunch to deal with when it comes to editing, so if you've managed to cut it at all without any more troubles than a few secs of "cubes", consider yourself lucky. I've personally never managed to split a mpeg even in 2 without severe (beyond repair) sync problems in the second part.

  3. Womble seems to be fairly popular for this kind of work. Here is a link to a trial version.
