    Greetings,

When I use DVD Decrypter to rip on HD all these movies, then I image with IMGTools and then I burn back with DVD Decrypter, they don't play back on my livingroom Panasonic or Sony.

When I use DVD Shrink to "rip" to HD, then use IGMTools and then I burn back with DVD Decrypter, they don't play back on my livingroom Panasonic or Sony.

I even tried to burn the files with nero and it does not playback still.

When I use DVDxCopy, DVD2ONE or InstantCopy they play back withtout any problem.

I tried to use DVD Shrink with the -re-author option and use only the main movie. No playback capacity still.

All those DVDs have the particularity of being under 4.3GBs already. So no compression is needed. Anyone know why? I do not seek any solution, I can backup the DVDs. I am just curious to know.

    - ALL the Starship Troopers Roughnecks anime (7 DVDs, all under 4.3GBs)
    - Powder
    - Twin dragons

    Thank you

Well if the DVD's are < 4.3G all you need is DVD Decrypter. No reason to go thru all those steps.

Under Mode-> ISO-> choose Read and rip it. Then pop in your blank and under Mode-> ISO-> choose Write. Should be good to go. You can use DVD Decrypter to burn any ISO file, including data on CD-R's.

I'm at a loss as to why yer ripping with decypter and shrink then using IMGTools, then trying to burn it.

You can use the DVD Decrypter technique MysticE mentoned if the movie is under 4.38gb.

OR, even tho the flick is not dvd9 size...you can rip and process with DVD Shrink, then use Nero to burn. There's no need to use IMGTools at all in this process. My guess is...THAT is the reason yer movies didn't work.

Find a procedure that works for u and stick with it.

    Greetings,

    Thank you for the answers.

I used DVD Decrypter only (as described, I was aware of that way to do the things) also and it did not work. It is why I am very puzzled.

I use IMGtools usually when I like to keep a one file copy on HD. I prefer that than a directory.

I tried with DVD Shrink (with all 100%-no compression) just for the heck of it.

    Thank you anyway!
