    Every video i convert to divx using vdub with, such as an iuVCR capture, comes out with the audio playing fine, but the video is constant blackness. I made sure it wasnt just the brightness being all the way down already

    the input videos are fine, its just they're weird when i check out the outputted files.

    Are you watching the converted videos on a different display? (i.e. on a secondary monitor). Make sure you're playing the video on the primary display.

    the pc only has a singular display. ive encoded things with divx5 in the past, but just recently this has been happening. i even tried upgrading to the newest 5.11 version....still no go...

    i'd really like to figure out how to resolve this.
