Can anyone point me to, or provide here, a coherent description of the way these modes are mechanised in DVD2SVCD 1.2.1 b3?

In particular I can't find any real definition of the interaction between bitrate limit settings, number of CDs required and the mode parameters (i.e. CQ offset value and value factor etc).

It appears from first sight to be similar to the way that the D2SRoBa plugin works with CCE (i.e determining the correct CQ to meet the bitrate and disc size limits). Is this so?
